Hey Beauties! :D

I was recently gifted with a Derma Roller System from to review. I've reviewed a derma roller before so I'm keen to see how this one goes! Keep reading if you are curious... or if you haven't used a derma roller before and want to know more!

First things first, what is a Derma Roller (for those who don't know).

The derma roller (also known as a microneedle roller or a skin roller) is a revolutionary hand-held device which has the ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin in the skin to promote healthier skin cells in the body. Using 200 extremely fine medical-grade needles, the dermaroller painlessly creates microchannels in your skin which trigger the body's natural healing process to create new, healthier tissue to replace the imperfections of older skin. By renewing your skin cells regularly, you will be able to treat common problems we experience as we age such as wrinkles, skin hyperpigmentation, scars (including acne scars), uneven skin, stretch marks (usually developed after pregnancy), hair loss or it can simply be used to create smoother skin.
So lets recap that, what does the derma roller treat?

  • Anti- aging
  • Anti- wrinkle
  • Cellulite
  • Hair loss treatment
  • Hyper pigmentation
  • Scar removal
  • Skin smoothing
  • Stretch mark removal

I've seen HEAPS of before and afters on the effects of the Derma Roller System and I truly believe it works. I mean, I've tried and tested it and so far I'm loving the results. So let's talk a bit about the 0.5mm needle, because that is the one I'm testing out.

You have to choose the correct needle size for the specific treatment that you are looking for. I wanted to smooth out my skin, get rid of pimples and target cell regeneration, which is why I picked the 0.5mm to try. There are, of course other sizes that you can get. Click here to see the other sizes and what they treat. I've also attached an image of the layers of the skin and how far each needle size travels through it.

Now, you are probably wondering how long it takes to see results. Well, because I'm using a 0.5mm needle size, it usually takes 2-7 days to see results. I saw results within a week of using the Derma Roller System. I didn't have too many needle marks, and not too much blood at all. I say 'blood' but really it's the tiniest-tiniest-tiniest amount. Like a needle prick, so nothing to be afraid of.

Ok, so how much will this Derma Roller System set you back? If I purchased it today it would cost me US$49.95 (usually US$99.95), and you get a collagen face mask too (normally US$39.95). I love using the collagen face mask and the Derma Roller System at the same time. It works amazingly well!

You can also buy the whole set for US$89.95 (normally US$199.95), which includes the derma roller, collagen face mask and collagen cream. I used the cream for a few weeks and I was pretty satisfied with this product, definitely would recommend! I used this cream straight after I had derma rolled (I think that's a verb...).

Overall, I LOVE the Derma Roller System, and the collagen cream and mask! I've used it for a month and I'm happy with the results from the Derma Roller System. Plus, I've always been a huge fan of derma rollers and I think they are gaining popularity than they previously have. I'm glad to add this size of derma roller to my other ones. Definitely worth your money beauties! If you have used a derma roller before let me know in the comments and what you thought about it.
