- Lean towards a foundation that is non-comedogenic whether it's a liquid or powder. Non-comedogenic products have been formulated to not clog your pores, which won't cause breakouts.
- I'd go with a powder foundation formula vs a liquid one, as liquid foundations generally have oil in them.
- Stay away from oil control/ waterproof foundations as they will enlarge any imperfections and dry the skin out more.
- Find a foundation with a lot of nourishing ingredients like Aloe Vera, or any kind of oil.
- Don't forget though to apply a rich moisturiser and hydrating primer before you apply your foundation.
OILY SKIN
- Look for foundations that say oil-free, long-wearing or mattifying.
AGEING SKIN
- When you start to age your skin becomes dryer.
- Stay away from anything that's too thick, or too mattifying on the skin.
- Make sure to use a foundation with a SPF in it.
NORMAL SKIN
- You are super lucky as you can choose whatever coverage, finish or formula you want.
- If you want something lightweight, I would go for a BB or CC cream.
